Brioche a Tete in Montreal

Amazin buttery brioche and flaky croissants. Sweet bakers and counter folk. Try to get a hot brioche or croissant. It will rock your world. I would make another trip to Montreal just for this bakery it's that good (and so cheap)

payed them extra for a pastry ( through my card as I didn’t have cash) so I could come back and pick it up ... Got denied by asking for a receipt/ proof! for a 3$ pastry !? embarrassing lol!

So sad that the size of the chocolatine reduced by almost double :( really small for the same price.

The white chocolate brioche was a dream come true! Chocolate almond croissant was also a good choice.

The croissant was excellent and I loved the brioche à sucre. The croissant had a lovely crumb texture, very flaky. The brioche had a contrast of apricot glaze on the top so the sugar could stay on top and the latte brought all of it together. The main issue about the establishment was the space. There is not much seating to begin with and you felt sandwiched in. The lady behind the counter could have given more warm service but I was understanding as she was alone behind the counter and it was quite busy.

This is as close to a perfect chocolatine as one can get. Their croissants are just as flaky, brioche was airy while filled with chocolate. Will return for other pastries that look just as good.

I wish I had the correct culinary vocabulary to describe croissant and brioche. They’re amazing.

I walked into this coffee shop today with my 6 year old daughter. I was told only 1 person was allowed to be in the shop. I was confused and looked around to see that we were the only 2 in the shop. I then realized she was suggesting my 6 year old daughter wait outside-unattended-while I order my coffee. I understood that this was due to the pandemic but this lack of judgement was plain irresponsible and quite frankly idiotic. We'll take our coffee elsewhere.

The staff here is so wonderfully friendly. The brioche (as the name suggests) is definitely the star of the show. The brioche à tête and classic sugar covered were so light, fresh and perfectly sweet, what a treat! The coffee was also really good, mochaccino surprisingly not overly chocolate-y. They sell their own roasted beans too. There’s not a ton of seating, but if you catch a spot, it’s a wonderful place to sit, bright and central. They have cool swag too, highly recommend a visit (or two!)

Friendly folks, great bakers, best viennoiseries in the hood.

The lemon tart they serve here, with its creamy, tangy filling surrounded by perfect tiny meringue points is one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. If you are nearby, you must eat here.

You have to love this quaint local, decorated with wood and talent. Try their staple brioche, fresh as warm pie, with a small latte. Hopefully the weather will be conducive to sit down on their small terrasse!

Another thing Fairmount has that is a must eat. The pastries here are fluffy and so delightful. I've had their breakfast croissant sandwiches, their sweet pasties, and their classic croissants and I can say with confidence that everything is good here.

Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is the best place for croissants in the city. The boys have done a great job mastering their craft. Chocolatine, cheese croissant, brioche, danoises, all fantastic.As a bonus, the coffee is very good! You usually have to choose between a place with great coffee and ok sweets, or great sweets and terrible coffee. No need to compromise here!

Absolutely delicious croissant and brioche. Fair prices. I have to try the other pastries. Nice staff. Their location/visibility could probably be improved. On a better street corner, they would have tons of customers!

They where about to close when I arrived. Not much left , but I try the brioche and it was good. The service was great 👍🏻

Delicious bakery with some chairs inside to enjoy them with a good coffee, although this is not the best coffee you can get in the area. All pastries are delicious

Its hard to express properly in a comment how special these baked goods are. In my 28 years of living I have never tasted such love and care put into baked goods. My life would legitimately be incomplete without the baked goods from Brioche A Tete. Thank you so much for making incredibly consistent and beautiful baked goods <3

Delicious brioche but what happened to the croissants? They were so hard this past Saturday morning, a real disappointment.

Ooh, what a treat! We saw this bakery on a YouTube channel of Montreal's must visit list...we were not disappointed. The brioche à tête was subtly sweet, light, and airy. The croissant was tasty as well. Nice and flaky. 🥐
